Note 262(2) shows that any planar orbit must be a hyperbolic spiral if an object of mass m in that orbit reaches a constant linear velocity as r goes to infinity. For almost sixty years it has been known experimentally that this is the case in whirlpool galaxies. It is no known that it is the ineluctable result of the plane polar coordinate system itself. This spins, so has a spin connection. The basic kinematics describe the orbit without any need for dark matter. It gives the result without even having to postulate a force law! The kinematics also show that the orbit becomes a straight line at infinite r, and again this is observed. The Newton theory asserts that the velocity at infinite r goes to zero, and the Einstein theory is a very small correction of the Newton theory and again produces a result that the velocity goes to zero. This is totally wrong, the velocity reaches a plateau. It is as totally wrong as the Debye theory in the far infra red (see first papers of the Omnia Opera on www.aias.us). The fundamental kinematics however can be used very simply and easily to give the right result, as summarized in note 262(2). The spin connection in the fundamental kinematics is the angular velocity vector (using units of inverse seconds). The law of attraction between the object m and the centre of the galaxy is not an inverse square law in the infinite r limit. It is not the law of attraction asserted in the Einstein theory. It will be given in the next note for UFT262. It is amazing to me that the hyper over complicated standard physics has missed these simple explanations. Standard physics seems to abhor simplicity, the very opposite of the mediaeval Ockham Razor. It also ignores experimental data if it does not fit into a theory, the oldest mistake in the business, the opposite of the Baconian philosophy. The chemical physicists in the sixties and seventies made adjustments to the Debye theory with the memory function and molecular dynamics computer simulation, they did not assault the discoverers of the far infra red spectra of liquids with verbal garbage. Physicists should take a lesson from the chemists.

This is solid common sense from GJE and I certainly agree that they can be posted on the home page. They are very simple to understand. The overwhelming majority of the international colleagues are getting disdainful of all this petty animosity from people who have never talked to anyone in AIAS.

This could be made into a homepage itself or set up as a challenge to the establishment. “Present your arguments against and show this to be invalid / incorrect (or accept it and let physics move on)” No more subjective criticism / attacks just for the sake of it and to save face.

It shows that geometry can be reduced to two entities called T and R, which are known as the torsion and curvature of any mathematical space of any dimension. The attached gives a description of all the main observable features of a whirlpool galaxy, and infers that its spin connection is its angular velocity. It is found that:
1) Any planar orbit becomes a hyperbolic spiral as r goes to infinity if v becomes constant. This is precisely as observed in the spirals of stars in a whirlpool galaxy.
2) The spin connection vanishes in the limit of infinite r if v becomes constant as observed in a whirlpool galaxy.
3) The velocity becomes a straight line in the limit of infinite r if v becomes constant, again as observed in whirlpool galaxies. The stars on the limbs of some spirals are straight lines.
The entire analysis is based on the covariant derivative of Cartan, Eq. (9), so this is a theory of general relativity. The next step is to link it up with the analysis of note 262(1) and UFT261.

I agree that the manuscript will be a very fine book when complete, with contributions from Horst Eckardt, Douglas Lindstrom and Stephen Crothers. This is most welcome. The attitudes of ‘t Hooft are reprehensible, and based on personal animosity, and a rebuttal of this kind will show that his grasp of geometry and general relativity is poor. He is the last of the failed dogmatists. The careful and scholarly rebuttals of ‘t Hooft’s work by Stephen Crothers will show that dogmatism is finished. ECE theory has an overwhelming vote of confidence from the colleagues worldwide because it is standard geometry with torsion. The entire output of dogma by ‘t Hooft is incorrect because he discards torsion. I do not regard ‘t Hooft as a scientist, colleague, or professor in the usual meaning of the world. He is an unscholarly individual who indulges in protracted personal animosity. This is always a sign of failure in a purported thinker. The Wikipedia entry is also engineered by the same type of personal animosity and a failure to understand basic geometry. Over the past eleven years these fossils have been rejected by the profession. I will be glad to publish anything by Stephen Crothers on the www.aias.us website.

I am working on a long paper that I think can be utilised as my contribution as a chapter to the new book. In this paper I address the nonsense of ‘t Hooft, as contained on his website where he vilifies you and me and three other scientists in particular. In addition I am including ‘t Hooft’s online lectures on General Relativity and Black Hole Theory respectively. It is my intention to completely demolish ‘t Hooft at every turn of his ‘arguments’, specifically and generally, so that even within the confines of General Relativity and Black Hole Theory the whole lot falls in a heap around his ears and those of the Standard Modellers.

This is just due to a simple misnumbering on my part, the text is complete and all equations are sequential. It should be checked for equation numbering and so on as in the papers to make sure there are no equation misnumberings. The docx files have all been distributed. The input by co authors is of course very important, as for the UFT papers, for example it will include graphics and further analysis. Thanks again to the voluntary typesetters, this is a very great help. There are chapters planned for the large amount of important work completed independently by Horst Eckardt and Douglas Lindstrom on the ECE vacuum, and their work on electrical engineering. There is no space restriction, and no restrictions on the time to prepare the book. There is absolutely no hurry, plenty of time should be taken because this is an important book, not because I say so, but because the readership says so. Therefore it is bound to be a very popular book because we will post it open source first then it will be published in book and ipod format. Experience with mu autobiography shows that books published in this way become very popular. There is profound disagreement between the avant garde ECE School and the older physics, which so far has tried always to inhibit progress, sometimes in a wildly irrational way. So we have proceeded by going straight to the vast readership. It is now time to produce a book such as this. I will now return to writing notes for UFT262, on the spin connection for whirlpool galaxies.

However, the spin connection must be used and the above equation made rigorous, otherwise the entire structure of U(1) electromagnetism collapses as discussed in UFT131 ff. and in the new book. To be rigorous, the equivalence principle of gravitation also needs the spin connection. In ECE theory, the structure of gravitation is the same as the structure of electromagnetism, but the subject of gravitation is still in a primitive condition, for example the gravitomagnetic field has been studied experimentally only by one or two groups. The study of gravitation has been severely inhibited by the twentieth century dogmatic disregard for torsion. This is becoming ever clearer and more and more accepted worldwide. The teaching of physics has changed completely in a decade.
