Call for volunteer translators

In view of the huge amount of international interest in this site, from up to 116 countries every month, there is a need for voluntary translators into the major scientific languages.  The translations by Alex Hill and colleagues into Spanish (www.et3m.net) greatly helps understanding in the Spanish speaking countries. It would be particularly helpful to translate into language where the alphabet is different, for example Russia and Japan, where there is intense interest in ECE theory. It would also be optimal if a voluntary translator within Wales could translate the site to Welsh.

New journal to be published

The Journal of Foundations of Physics and Chemistry (ISSN 2046-9888) will be published by Cambridge International Science Publishing Ltd. beginning in May 2011.  Enough material is available from the Alpha Institute for Advanced Studies (AIAS) to provide 4 years of bi-monthly issues.  However, there is still enough space in each issue to accommodate new accepted papers on all aspects of the foundations of physics and chemistry.

The refereeing system is modeled on the system used by the eminent editor Emeritus Prof. Alwyn van der Merwe for the original "Foundations of Physics", i.e. at least two referees, three if there is divided opinion.  The identity of the referees will be made known to the author(s) unless a referee requests anonymity.  The editor reserves the right to reject papers not suitable for the journal, whose scope is foundational theories of physics and chemistry and their applications to engineering.  The journal requests submission in doc or TeX format, handwritten equations are accepted if clearly legible.

The new journal will also introduce a new method of refereeing by professional acceptance. In practice this method works by posting a preprint on a high impact website and monitoring its progress by computer. In the case of the ECE papers international acceptance has always been almost immediate, in that each paper is intensely studied as it is posted. It is concluded that that paper is suitable for journal publication. Other papers are not read very much or sometimes hardly at all, and in that case further formal refereeing will be applied, using at least two referees whose identity is known. That stops referees abusing authors. The older, anonymous refereeing system introduced in the nineteen forties is open to all kinds of criticism, and does not really identify the merits of a paper. Before that there was no refereeing of papers by established scientists. The older refereeing system in supposedly prestigious journals was not able to identify the numerous flaws in the old standard model, now extinct. The reason is Langmuir's pathological science, ideas tend to become dogma over time, and dogma is mindless by definition.

In general, both types of refereeing system will be used, giving a more flexible and more thorough assessment than anything available in the older system. This method restores the original intent of refereeing, which is to ensure accuracy and import. Assessment by professional acceptance is not available in other journals, which do not monitor the impact of their papers in anywhere near as much detail.

Editor's Introduction

Journal of Foundations of Physics and Chemistry (Cambridge International Science Publishing) Leaflet

From the Editor

This journal is an important initiative by the publisher, Victor Riecansky, and is dedicated to foundational theories of physics and chemistry, particularly to papers on Einstein Cartan Evans (ECE) unified field theory, the leading contemporary theory of physics and chemistry by international acclaim (seven year feedback to www.aias.us, and the ECE sites www.atomicprecision.com, www.et3m.net and www.upitec.org.) The journal makes a timely first appearance because the first diesel producing plant based on the B(3) field of ECE theory has just gone into production in Cordoba in Spain and is expected to produce forty thousand tons of clean burning diesel a year from oil waste of various kinds. This is the well known Kurata / B(3) process, patented by AIAS Fellow Taishi Kurata on the basis of the B(3) field which I inferred at Cornell Theory Center in 1991. The B(3) Productive Energy Institute has kindly been renamed after B(3) in Kobe, Japan. This is Dr Kurata's original research institute. Papers are invited on all aspects of ECE theory to supplement the first twenty four issues, which will publish the first two hundred or so papers of ECE theory since 2003. Papers are welcomed on other aspects of physics and chemistry, but those that repeat incorrect dogma are unlikely to be sent to referees. Each submitted paper will be refereed at least twice, three times if necessary. The names of the referees will be made known to the author(s) and no referee will be able to abuse authors personally by misusing anonymity. The journal is scheduled to appear monthly and there is enough material for the first twenty four issues. The ECE theory has overturned the twentieth century standard model, and has been studied by millions from its inception in 2003 to present. This study amounts to a solid body of scholarship, and so there is a clear need for this journal.   Myron Evans (Prof. M. W. Evans, British Civil List, AIAS Director).

Mission of Journal of Foundations of Physics and Chemistry

The journal has been founded with the primary intent of developing what is now known as the first post Einsteinian paradigm shift, the Einstein Cartan Evans (ECE) theory, in all its ramifications in pure and applied physics and chemistry, notably the search for new energy. The secondary intention is to allow voices to be heard that would otherwise echo in the wilderness. In other words to allow authors to contribute high quality articles which may not agree with the dogmatic standard model of physics. The foundations of physics and chemistry are not set in concrete or written in marble, they are forever changing from generation to generation, each making its own worthy contribution. So there can never be a standard physics, one cannot stop the tide of new ideas. The ECE field theory is more and more regarded as having achieved the unification of the four force fields, currently thought to be gravitation, electromagnetism, and weak and strong nuclear. The journal welcomes papers on the consequences of this unified field theory in disciplines from philosophy to engineering. The scope of the journal is interpreted broadly, and it covers both pure and applied physics and chemistry. The structure of the ECE theory is such that ideas based on geometry can be used for practical purposes because they can be transformed quickly into equations in engineering. That was not possible in the now obsolete dogma of the twentieth century known as the standard model of physics. Papers on geometry itself are also welcomed. Currently ECE is based on Cartan's well known differential geometry, with its two structure equations, but other formats of geometry are equally valid.

The response to the journal has been overwhelmingly positive, enough papers and review articles have been sent for publication, or otherwise planned, for the next four or five years bimonthly. For the remainder of 2011 the publication rate will be monthly in order to meet the annual schedule. The journal institutes a new method of refereeing, in which the names of the referees are known to the authors. Invited review articles are welcomed and the response to the first invitations has also been very positive. Reviews are planned from the following distinguished colleagues in alphabetical order. Terence Barrett, Ulrich Bruchholz, Robert Cheshire, Jose Croca, Stephen Crothers, Raymond Delaforce, Horst Eckardt, Robert Fell, Jason Gwo, Lawrence Horwitz, Bo Lehnert, Frank Lichtenberg, George Lie, Douglas Lindstrom, Gari Owen, Jean-Claude Pecker, Jan Perina, Melanie Purcell and Tolga Yarman. Review invitations have gone out to several other colleagues and several are thinking about contributing at the time of writing (June 2011).

Another feature of the journal is that papers will not be accepted on dogma, however well known, that is now thought by the Editorial Board to be obsolete. The Editorial Board is a working board of editors, not an honorary board. Its Editor Emeritus is Professor Emeritus Alwyn van der Merwe, probably the most distinguished physics editor of the late twentieth century, open minded and fair in judgment, he needs no introduction from me. So we are ready to break the hold of unimaginative and obsolete dogmatists on theoretical physics and allied subject areas. It is generally thought that the twentieth century in physics started well, but ended in intellectual failure in a morass of irrelevant complexity that cannot be tested experimentally - Idols of the Cave. The new journal encourages a return to the foundations of physics and chemistry: the Baconian philosophy and the Ockham's Razor.
