This is an urgent appeal received today (3 July 2007) from Heritage groups to www.aias.us and others. It echoes the intense and growing opposition to wind turbines among the electorate: "Gwlad, gwlad - Country, country. Ringing words from the Welsh National Anthem. The landscape of Britain, especially Wales, is under threat of total destruction by wind turbines. Politicians of all parties who are keen to be seen as "green" are approving crazy planning policies to destroy our last wilderness uplands. This is a direct appeal to you to help preserve you uplands, your heritage coastline, amd scenc landscape, your land. All we ask is that you speak out. Please give a Press Statement befoer it is too late. Study the facts (e.g on www.aias.us, and www.socme.org MWE). If you are convinced do your bit to preserve what we all cherish from greedy developers and gullible politicians. We give no contact address because we do not want you to think that we are soliciting your support. We want you to support your landscape, your coastlines, your heritage, your country. Gwlad, gwlad"
