Antenna Structures from Beltrami Solutions

Friday, February 28th, 2014

This is an excellent idea form Horst, and there is currently a lot of interest in the ECE Engineering Model. i will proceed shortly to write up my sections of UFT258, which can refer to the spectacular new animations.

Zero Magnus Force

Friday, February 28th, 2014

They are called “force free” because the vorticity (curl v) and velocity (v) vectors are parallel, so there is no Magnus force as described in Reed Section 5. As described by Reed on his page 538 similar Lorentz force free structures exist in electrodynamics. I agree that the solution of the free field equations is given by multiplying the Beltrami solution by exp (i omega t). The Beltrami solution may contain exp (- i kappa Z), so multiplying the two gives exp (i (omega t – kappa Z)).

In the appendix of the Marsh book, eq. A1.1 could be of intereset, but this seems to be a plane wave propagating in Z direction which we have already considered.

Two other points perhaps deserve discussion:
1. Beltrami fields are called force-free fields. What is the background of this statement? E and B are “force fields”, a test charge in such a field experiences a force, even in a Beltrami field. Only the vacuum can be force-free (potential without E/B fields).

2. As Marsh points out, multiplying a vector field by a factor exp(i omega t) describes a standing wave. So Beltrami fields defined in this way are standing waves. On the other hand we have considered plane waves with the factor exp( i (omega t – kappa Z)). These are not standing waves. Obviously both types of waves can constitute a Beltrami field. In particular it is possible to generate standing waves at “one end”, in mechanics you need two fixed ends to obtain a standing wave. Is this true and an important result?

Investing in LENR

OK thanks again! Your graphics in Section 3 of UFT257 are excellent of course, but Marsh has a section which shows the chaotic structure. I will scan it over tomorrow. In any case that solution can wait. Never any hurry at AIAS.

I checked already the Lundquist solution.
The “chaotic solution” was investigated in section 3 of paper 257, including graphics. Further investigation will show if the streamlines are really chaotic.

Beltrami Structure of the Spin Connection

Thursday, February 27th, 2014

One of the important consequences of ECE theory has just been uncovered in notes for UFT258, that the spin connection has a Beltrami structure, and so does the space part of the Cartan identity, and so does the spin curvature. This means that the instructive animations in recent blog postings also apply to the spin connection, meaning that spacetime itself has an intricate geometrical structure. I recommend doing a lit search of UFT papers using the box above the list of UFT papers for the Proca equation. UFT116 defines the vacuum charge current density in terms of photon mass and the vacuum four potential. This type of vacuum theory has been greatly developed by Eckardt and Lindstrom, and their papers are published in the AIAS journal and also archived in Google Scholar. In fact I recommend a lit search of UFT papers before embarking on any new work, this is plain common sense.

Checking and Plotting the Lundqvist Solution

Thursday, February 27th, 2014

Many thanks indeed to co author Horst Eckardt! As can be seen these flows can become complicated very quickly, and sometimes go over into chaotic behaviour. The free electromagnetic field will behave like this so there is no possibility that the free field is pure transverse as in standard physics. The animations will look very interesting. I will now go on to investigate these solutions for the Proca equation, which for self consistency should replace the d’Alembert equation. Then the plan is to write up UFT258 and continue with the systematic investigation of the geometrical nature of charge current density. The animations can be archived in the animation section of www.aias.us. I will also look for Beltrami solutions for charge current density. If the electron charge has a Beltrami structure it would open up a new area of physics once again.
The structure of electric and magnetic charge / current density “echoes” that of the field equation, so I should think that here will be Beltrami solutions for the charge current densities, and also for nuclear physics. Of course these solutions also apply to gravitational physics in ECE theory.

Subj: Re: Animations and Particles and Birkeland Fields

I just investigated and plotted the Lundquist solution:

with
kappa =

From computer algebra the divergence is zero but it is not clear if the Beltrami condition is met due to complicated identities between Bessel functions. Numerical evaluation gives the clear result that this is indeed a Beltrami function. It looks quite complicated in a 3D plot, therefore in Fig. 3 only one plane is plotted. The vetors rotate around rays in the radial direction. There is a strong central longitudinal component. Viewed from above (XY plane, Fig. 4) it can be seen that all vectors have the same angle of 45° against the radial direction. Will do a animation at the weekend, this may give surprising results.

Excellent discussion! All these solutions are also solutions for the free electromagnetic field, so that is the very end (once again) of the Higgs boson, assuming that an expensive figment of opiate nightmare has a beginning and end. The reason is that all these free field solutions have longitudinal components and are not U(1) gauge invariant. If the Higgs boson existed there would be no longitudinal solutions. These Beltrami solutions are observable in plasma flows, cosmology and hydrodynamics, they cause a river to meander. The simplest longitudinal solution is B(3), which is observed in the inverse Faraday effect as a static, longitudinal, magnetization. This was first observed fifty years ago at Havard in the group of the Nobel Laureate Bloembergen, who was co discoverer of the laser. The spectacular jet of a whirlpool galaxy is due to a B(3) type field, or a more complicated Beltrami longitudinal field.

Norman,

Obviously eqs. (18) and (21) are exactly the Bessel function example I have plotted and animated. Figs. 6 and 9 are density plots for the plane Z=0. I will provide such a plot. There are zero crossings as is explained in the text of the article. In Fig. 6 the zones have been levelled out in certain radius regions, in my plot they will look more continuous.

Horst

is there a formula describing a Birkeland current? Then we could check if it is obeys a Beltrami condition.

Sternglass Doctoral Thesis

Thursday, February 27th, 2014

Interesting information, although quantum electrodynamics is comprehensively refuted by ECE in papers such as UFT85 (very popular for about seven or eight years)). QED is actually based on adjustables, and is not a precise theory at all. UFT85 shows that even the standards laboratory data are completely imprecise, sometimes to several orders of magnitude. Sternglass leaned over an congratulated me on my lecture on B(3) at Vigier One, at which UNCC was publicly denounced by Vigier as totally dishonest. He is a pleasant man and well into his nineties now I think. He chatted with my wife and myself after the B(3) conference session and briefly described his experiences with Einstein. International condemnation of those responsible at UNCC (attached) is still going on. Those basically responsible were Buckingham and Barron, whose theory of complete experiment symmetry has been discarded by standard and ECE physicists. Buckingham has been condemned out of hand historically.
